Brenna Ireland

Brenna is currently in her 2nd year of the MBA, with a specialization in International Business.  After completing an honours degree in Economics with a minor in French from McMaster University, she decided to come to Carleton University to pursue her MBA. She is now employed as a Business Analyst Intern at Deloitte, within the Strategy and Operations, Public Sector Transformation consulting group.

As part of the Sprott Marketing team in the 2015 MBA Games, she was able to work with a fantastic group of three other MBA students to learn about the world of consulting, case competitions and marketing objectives! She looks forward to the opportunity to participate alongside both new and returning Sprott MBA students at the upcoming 2016 MBA Games in Toronto!

Elyse is this year’s Co-Captain for Sport & Spirit. She is presently an MBA candidate at the Sprott School of Business, concentrating in International Development Management. Prior to pursuing her MBA, Elyse received her B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from McGill University. She has experience working for various NGOs in both fundraising and communications, and is presently working for the Department of Justice Canada and the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC).

During the 2015 MBA Games, Elyse represented Sprott on both the Marketing and Basketball Teams and she is very excited to be a part of the Games once again.

Ali is a second year MBA student majoring in Financial Management. For the MBA Games, he is responsible for all the finances for the committee. Before coming to Canada for to pursue his MBA, he was working as a supply chain associate in Dubai. He was part of the finance case and volleyball team in the last year's MBA games and felt that the experience at the games was incredible. The experience and connections that he made at the Games helped him to secure a summer internship at Tangerine Bank in Toronto.

Rob MacDonald is a Sprott MBA Candidate concentrating in International Business by night and a manager with the federal government by day. He has a keen interest in world affairs and, influenced by his time abroad working in West Africa, has a particular interest in the challenges and opportunities in emerging markets.  Rob previously served as VP part-time of the MBA Society and is keen promoter of the MBA student experience. In his “spare time” you can find Rob participating in extra-curricular activities such as the Sprott MBA Softball team and at various networking events. Rob competed in his first MBA Games in 2015 and, bolstered by a healthy competitive streak, is looking forward to helping the team bring the Queen’s Cup to Ottawa in 2017.
